SNES emulators attempt to emulate SNES hardware and allow for SNES games to be played on a computer or other console. ROM files are typically required as a method of providing the emulator with game code and data. Many emulators also offer additional features such as save states, fast forwarding, improved performance/graphics, debugging, and scripting. Worlds Collide is compatible with any modern SNES emulator.

bsnes is a Super Nintendo / Super Famicom emulator that focuses on performance, features, and ease of use.

higan is a multi-system emulator meant to be as accurate and complete as possible, with code that is easy to read and understand.

Snes9x is a portable, freeware Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) emulator.
